Marsh Harbour Marsh Harbour is the third largest settlement in the Bahamas, located on the island of Great Abaco which is 86 miles long. There are only 5,000 residents. There are no casinos. Life runs at a slower pace in the Family Islands. There are several excellent and varied restaurants, three well-stocked supermarkets, liquor stores, a bakery, and several banks. Marsh Harbour can supply you with just about anything you'll need for your stay at SlipAway. When you arrive in Marsh Harbour just ask the taxi driver to make a few stops for you on your way to SlipAway. The best way to explore the Abaco's and all the other cays is to rent a boat. There are several boat rental companies in Marsh Harbour. Our location provides easy access from your cottage to outer cays in any direction. You will have the isolation of cays and deserted beaches, but have convenient proximity to Marsh Harbour's amenities. There are five gas docks in Marsh Harbour. We also have two clinics and two pharmacies. Ferries:
You can catch a scheduled ferry,
several times a day, convenient departure and return schedules. You
can also charter to other destinations. Should you choose not to
rent a boat, Albury's Ferry Dock is a mere ten-minute walk from your
cottage. |
